Allen and I will be going on missions trips this next week. Allen leaves tonight for Indonesia/Singapore and I leave Saturday for Thailand. Below you will find a synopsis of what each of us will be doing and some prayer requests.

Thank you for your faithful prayer support!

Synopsis of the Thailand Trip: Once in Thailand we will be ministering to women who used to be bound to a life of prostitution. These women now work at NightLight. NightLight is a ministry that helps bring women out of prostitution and offers them alternative employment making jewelry.

We will be helping NightLight do their quarterly bead inventory. We will also be performing a worship dance for the women and sharing about our home country traditions and languages. We will also have opportunities to share the gospel and to provide encouragement or counseling for the women. Our trip will include prayer walking around the area where other women are still bound to prostitution in Thailand.

Prayer Requests:
Ø That God's will would be done
Ø That we would be obedient to God's will and allow His Holy Spirit to work and move in us
Ø That we will have God's strength and provision for the trip
Ø That we will be courageous in sharing our faith and testimonies
Ø That God would soften the hearts of the women at NightLight who do not yet know Him
Ø That God would use us to glorify His name in the lives of the people who live, work and travel to the area where we will be ministering

Synopsis of the Indonesia/Singapore Trip: The team will fly to Singapore and then take a boat to an island off the coast of Indonesia. There are 51 middle school students and 10 adults going from our school. They are also taking with them a guest speaker who starred on Survivor Exile Island, Panama. Once they are on the island they will be having a missions and ministry training conference. Students will learn how to do missions and how to minister. They will also be having a survivor style game. They will also take mini service trips to the neighboring islands off the coast of Indonesia. They will also visit an Elementary school to witness through their actions.

Prayer Requests:
Ø For Safety
Ø For the survivor guest to share according to God's will
Ø That the students would speak through their actions because where they are going they cannot openly share the gospel
Ø That our Lord would send the people of Indonesia and Singapore visions of Christ
Ø That the students would use this trip to grow in their relationship with Him and that those who are on the trip who do not know Christ, would come to know Him as Savior
Ø That God would strengthen the teachers as they spend a week with 51 students

Jordan's LBC Prayer Requests

• For the finalization of the building plans (especially against attacks from the evil one)
• For unsaved students
•For students that are going to university, for strength to resist temptations
• For students that struggle with depression
• For the parents of many of our students to see God’s desire for them to spend quality time with their children and that the students would know that they are loved by God
• For the faculty & staff as we go through this transition and as we share God’s love and compassion with these students
• For Ben Hale (admissions director) that he would have wisdom regarding admissions procedures
• For the students that are moving back to their home country or other Schools, that the word of God would grow in their hearts

Thailand Praise & Prayer Report

Please pray with me for these women. For protective reasons I will not give you their real names, but please pray specifically for these women:

For "Rabbit" pray that she would come out of the bars and work with NightLight. That she would be comforted by God and know that through the Blood of Christ she is forgiven!

For "Gail" pray that God would deliver her from suicidal thoughts. Pray that she might find comfort in His love and in the sisters that care so much about her. Pray that she would know that suicide is NOT what God wants for her (or anyone!!).

For "Tonya" pray that God would give her the strength she needs in order to get out of a mentally and emotionally abusive relationship with a foreign man.

For "Nealla" I sensed that something was troubling her. Pray that whatever might be on her heart would be presented to God and that He would be faithful to her.

Pray that God would continue to give Annie and the other staff members at NightLight strength, wisdom and discernment as to how to lead, guide, counsel and minister to these women.

Pray for the many other women that are all over the world working as prostitutes. Pray that God would comfort them, that they would be brought out of prostitution and know that they are forgiven and that He would provide financial means to bring them out and keep them out of prostitution.

Pray also that the men who go to Thailand and other countries seeking prostitutes, that they would be convicted and know that what they are doing is not acceptable in God's eyes! Many of the kids that were there from last year were there again this year and were so happy and blessed to see our kids again. The team traveled to Khabarovsk and they went to several universities and high schools there where they did English presentations. The middle school students did an AMAZING job ministering, loving on the kids and sharing the Gospel of Christ. We had 7th graders sharing their testimonies about God! Praise the Lord!! 10-15 kids came to Christ through the ministry of the Vladivostok team. Pray that the Lord would raise up someone to minister to those that came to know Him in Russia. Also, pray for a woman that the team met in Russia who is believed to be helping North Korean refugees! Praise God for this woman's devotion and her faithfulness to Him!

Habitat for Humanity, Korea - This team went to the Habitat program in Taebeck(sp) Korea. The area of Taebeck is a poor coal mining town. The team worked on 1 house where they tore down concrete and filled the yard with dirt (to prepare for a new house to be built). As a team they sang praises and shared. Their main ministry was with each other. Overall it was a good trip and the students grew closer to God!

Ansan, Korea - The group of middle school students that went to Ansan truly had an awesome experience. They were extremely selfless and always willing to help out. They ran an English Camp at the Ansan Mission in Ansan. On Sunday they did skits at the Ansan Mission. Then they handed out pamphlets in the street inviting people to come to a special Easter service at the Filipino church. Then they went to the Filipino church. Monday they went to a welfare center for Senior Citizens. There they shared and loved on the older people. On Tuesday their mission was to take students from a disabled home (both physically and mentally disabled) to the Korea Zoo. The students were each paired with a student from the disabled home and they spent the day hanging out with them and loving on them at the Zoo. The students had a great time ministering and loving on the kids they worked with. The teachers that led this trip could not stop saying what a great job our kids did!

Jeongdeong Jin, Korea - This team had a great time in ministry at the Handicapped place in Jeongdeong Jin. When they walked in to the place the kids were immediately seeking attention and our students gave them the love that they needed. In service our students changed diapers and cleaned up. They worked side by side with the people who are there daily. Pray that the people at the Handicapped place in Jeongdeong Jin will continue to find the love that they need through Christ. Pray that those who serve there regularly would be a witness of Christ's love.

Moscow, Russia - Many came to Christ through street evangelism. The students walked through the streets of Moscow and neighboring Aleksandrov(sp). They walked the streets inviting people to youth nights and sharing the gospel. Several accepted Christ on the streets in Russia. One of the missionary's that the team was working with had a dream that loads of people came out to the youth night in Aleksandrov and it came true, Hallelujah! Many of those attending the youth nights accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior. (And many of the people attending, weren't even youth!) Pray that the Lord would raise up people to disciple those that came to know Him through this ministry!

Kunsan, Korea - The team that went to Kunsan worked at English Camps and at a Single Mothers Home. The children at the Single Mothers Home have no father figure. They latched on to the male students that went from ICS and some were known to follow them around the entire time. Please pray that our Heavenly Father would be the Earthly Father for these children. Pray that He would comfort them. Pray also for the staff at the Single Mothers Home, pray that they would never lose sight of what they are doing for Him, and that they would be equipped to comfort, love and have patience for the single mothers and their children.
Philippines - 33 came to Christ through a VBS (Vacation Bible School) ministry at the Calvary Fellowship Church. 3 made re-commitments to Christ through the ministry of the Philippines team. Pray that those who accepted Him would continue to walk in faith! Pray that the team at the Calvary Fellowship Church would be equipped to continue to minister and disciple those that accepted Christ. The woman who leads the Kids Zone ministry at the church is new and was encouraged and taught by ICS as to how to run a VBS. Praise the Lord that the parents were able to bring their kids to a ministry where they could hear the gospel and Christian teaching. Pray that the Lord would continue to raise up the Calvary Fellowship Church for the students to come and learn about Him. The team in the Philippines also spent one day at an orphanage. There is a missionary that goes weekly to this orphanage who needs prayer. Pray that God would use this missionary to share His love and Word with the orphanage kids (16 in all). At the orphanage our students blessed and encouraged the students by bringing Paper Dolls from our Elementary Zones. We were also able to help the orphanage out financially. Praise the Lord! Pray though for this orphanage as they go through the process of preparing documents to give to the department of social welfare and development in the Philippines to receive additional financial support for their 16 students.

Myanmar - She had many opportunities to witness in Myanmar. The Bermese people have been oppressed by the government and one ministry opportunity she had was with a high level government person. Praise God for this as well as the other opportunities. Please pray that many more NK Refugees would be able to get out of North Korea.

April 10th - Prayer Letter

Allen left yesterday for Vladivostok, Russia. He went with a team of teachers and students from our school. When they get there they will be sharing the gospel with the Russian people. They will go to orphanages and detention centers. (Same as they did last year.) Monday night (Russia time) they will take a train 12 hours north to Khabarovsk. In Khabarovsk they will be running some English camps where they will have the opportunity to share the gospel. Pray that the Lord will do something amazing through the work and testimony of this team.

There are also a number of teams going to other places. There are so many things going on, but I will try to give you a brief explanation about what each group is going to do so that if you feel led to do so you can pray for them.

Habitat for Humanity, Korea - will be working with the Habitat program here in Korea. Work may include building, clearing lots or other areas of service. This team left this morning. Pray that God would use them in whatever way He desires.

Ansan, Korea - this is a team of middle school students. They are currently in Ansan where they are working at an orphanage and speaking at youth groups near Ansan. Pray that God would shine through these individuals and that God would use this opportunity to not only teach those that the students are going to minister too, but teach the students as well. Also, pray that as they change from ministry to ministry that they would not lose sight of what it is God wants them to do.

Jungdeong Jin, Korea - this team is going to a mentally handicapped place in Jungdeong Jin, Korea. They will minister and share the gospel to the people there. Please pray that God will give them the extra grace and patience they need to show His love. This team also left this morning.

Moscow, Russia - This team left on Friday. They will be going to orphanages and youth groups in Moscow, Russia. Pray that God would do a mighty work through this team and that many would come to know Him through the work of this team.

Philippines - This team also left on Friday. They will be working with a local church in the Philippines that our Elementary Chaplain has close contact with. Pray that God would equip them with the ability to adequately minister to the Filipino people.

Kunsan, Korea - This team left this morning and I think they are going to work with an orphanage in Kunsan. Pray that God would have His hands in whatever it is that they are doing!

Myanmar - One of our teachers wen to Myanmar with the hopes that God would use her to bring some North Korean refugees to safety. Pray that she would be used and that she would hear God's voice in the land that He has called her to serve.

I myself am looking into a trip to Thailand in June, so pray for God's direction for that. I was originally planning on going on a trip with the students to Thailand (this week), but that trip fell through because of a lack of student interest. I still felt that God wanted me to go and serve in Thailand. I emailed a contact there, and it is possible for me to go serve with her. Pray that if it is God's will for me to go, that He would make it happen!

Mission Teams

Spring break begins on Friday at the end of the school day. Several teams will be heading out. Pray specifically for Allen as he goes with a team of 4 adults and 20 students to Vladivostok, Russia. They will spend 2-3 days ministering at orphanages again and then will travel 12 hours north to Khabarovsk where they will be sharing the gospel at English clubs at universities. It is possible that the students in the English clubs have never heard of Christ's love before. Pray that God would do a mighty work through this team.

Also, please be in prayer for the other trips:
Moscow, Russia
Philippines
Ansan, Korea
Kunsan, Korea
Habitat for Humanity, Korea
Jungdeong Jin, Korea

Pray that God would use the students and teachers in ministry. Pray that He would also draw those going on the trips into a closer relationship with Him.

Also, please pray for Nikki as she is pursuing a missions trip in Thailand in early June. Pray that God would give her clear direction.

Spiritual Emphasis Week - Praise Him!

Praise God for our awesome spiritual emphasis week! Many of the students had a divine encounter with our Heavenly Father. Many wounded spirits were healed. One student was delivered from suicidal thoughts. Between 10-15 students accepted Christ as their savior during the week.

Please pray for the teachers as they continue to minister to the students now that the "newness" of spiritual emphasis week has worn off. Pray that we would be able to set up discipleship groups with those wanting to be decipled. Pray for the students, that they would not loose sight of the Savior, nor falter in relationship with Him.
