Prayer Requests for Missions to Thailand and Indonesia/Singapore

It is that time of year again! Allen and I will be going on missions trips this next week. Allen leaves tonight for Indonesia/Singapore and I leave Saturday for Thailand. Below you will find a synopsis of what each of us will be doing and some prayer requests.

Synopsis of the Thailand Trip: Once in Thailand we will be ministering to women who used to be bound to a life of prostitution. These women now work at NightLight. NightLight is a ministry that helps bring women out of prostitution and offers them alternative employment making jewelry.

We will be helping NightLight do their quarterly bead inventory. We will also be performing a worship dance for the women and sharing about our home country traditions and languages. We will also have opportunities to share the gospel and to provide encouragement or counseling for the women. Our trip will include prayer walking around the area where other women are still bound to prostitution in Thailand.

Prayer Requests:
Ø That God's will would be done
Ø That we would be obedient to God's will and allow His Holy Spirit to work and move in us
Ø That we will have God's strength and provision for the trip
Ø That we will be courageous in sharing our faith and testimonies
Ø That God would soften the hearts of the women at NightLight who do not yet know Him
Ø That God would use us to glorify His name in the lives of the people who live, work and travel to the area where we will be ministering

Synopsis of the Indonesia/Singapore Trip: The team will fly to Singapore and then take a boat to an island off the coast of Indonesia. There are 51 middle school students and 10 adults going from our school. They are also taking with them a guest speaker who starred on Survivor Exile Island, Panama. Once they are on the island they will be having a missions and ministry training conference. Students will learn how to do missions and how to minister. They will also be having a survivor style game. They will also take mini service trips to the neighboring islands off the coast of Indonesia. They will also visit an Elementary school to witness through their actions.

Prayer Requests:
Ø For Safety
Ø For the survivor guest to share according to God's will
Ø That the students would speak through their actions because where they are going they cannot openly share the gospel
Ø That our Lord would send the people of Indonesia and Singapore visions of Christ
Ø That the students would use this trip to grow in their relationship with Him and that those who are on the trip who do not know Christ, would come to know Him as Savior
Ø That God would strengthen the teachers as they spend a week with 51 students
